🚔 Police Searching for Man Who Impersonated Walmart Employee in Wareham
WAREHAM, Mass. (Plimoth)— Police are asking for the public’s help as they search for a man accused of impersonating a Walmart employee in order to steal merchandise, according to the Wareham Police Department.
Investigators say the suspect entered the Wareham Walmart posing as a store employee and was able to remove items without paying. Authorities believe the same individual may have used similar tactics at other retail locations, including impersonating an employee at a Target store in a separate incident.
Police released surveillance images of the suspect and noted that he may have been accompanied by a female companion during some of the incidents. The exact value of the stolen merchandise has not been released.
Wareham Police are urging anyone who recognizes the man or has information related to the case to contact them immediately. Tips can be shared directly with the department, and callers may remain anonymous.
