🍣 Marshfield Welcomes New Salty Days Sushi Spot With Full Bar This Summer
Marshfield, MA — February 28, 2026 — A familiar South Shore seafood favorite is heading to Marshfield this summer, bringing sushi, seafood and a full bar to The Shops at Ocean’s Gate.
, known for its seafood-centric menu and sushi offerings, is expanding into the former Ocean House Coastal Grille space at 1899 Ocean Street. The Marshfield Select Board approved the necessary liquor and restaurant licenses earlier this year, setting the stage for a summer 2026 opening.
Owners Sean and Joanne McDaniel, Marshfield natives and co-founders of the South Shore brand, say opening in their hometown is a milestone for the business. In a recent social media announcement, they noted that the Marshfield location will feature the same signature sushi, poke bowls and seafood favorites found at their Cohasset eatery — with the added draw of a full bar.
Salty Days Fish Co. originally launched as a fish market in Hingham in 2020 and later grew into a full-service restaurant in Cohasset in 2022. The Marshfield opening gives the concept a strong new foothold on the South Shore as it continues to expand.
Community members and food lovers are eagerly awaiting more details on the official opening date and full menu, which the restaurant team says will be released in the coming months.
