Marshfield Officer Due in Court Today
- Marshfield, Massachusetts — Officer Richard Perry, a Marshfield Police Department officer, is scheduled to appear in court today, Wednesday, March 4, 2026, to face charges connected to a serious crash earlier this year.
Crash Details
- The case stems from a Jan. 11 off-duty crash on Route 139 in Marshfield. According to police, Perry was driving at a high rate of speed when his vehicle crossed over solid double-yellow lines and crashed head-on into another car.
- A third vehicle was also involved in the collision.
Injuries and Response
- The driver of the other vehicle was trapped and had to be extricated by firefighters before both drivers were taken to area hospitals with serious injuries.
- The second driver in the crash was not reported injured.
