Plymouth County MA weather, storm Monday Massachusetts, heavy rain South Shore MA, Plymouth County rain forecast
PLYMOUTH COUNTY, MA — A storm system is expected to move into southeastern Massachusetts on Monday, bringing periods of rain and gusty winds to Plymouth County.
Forecasters say rain will develop during the morning hours and continue through much of the day. Some periods of moderate to heavy rainfall are possible during the afternoon and evening as the system strengthens.
Wind gusts may also increase throughout the day, which could lead to minor travel issues and ponding of water on roadways in low-lying areas.
Temperatures are expected to climb to around 60°F Monday, much warmer than the cool conditions seen over the weekend.
The rain may continue into Monday night before gradually tapering off. By Tuesday, cooler air will return to the region with only a chance of lingering showers.
Motorists across Plymouth County are advised to allow extra travel time during periods of heavy rain and remain alert for wet road conditions.
At the time of this report, no major weather warnings had been issued, but residents are encouraged to monitor forecasts for updates
