A 50-year-old man convicted of two murders he committed as a teenager was denied parole by the Massachusetts Parole Board on Tuesday, which indicated the man needed to do more work to understand the “triggers to violence.”
Glenn Hart was convicted of first and second-degree murder in 1997 and sentenced to two life sentences: one without the possibility of parole and one that gave him a chance at release.
Hart became parole eligible last year when the state’s Supreme Judicial Court ruled life sentences without parole were unconstitutional for “emerging adults” — those between 18 and 20.
